About the Las Vegas Arts District
The Las Vegas Arts District is truly a unique and special part of the Las Vegas valley. It’s located in the center of town, a few blocks south of Downtown Las Vegas and just west of Las Vegas Blvd.
Another name for the Las Vegas Arts District is 18b. 18b stands for 18 blocks and refers to the original 18 blocks that this neighborhood encompasses. The official boundaries for the Arts District are within Hoover Ave, Commerce Street, 4th Street and Las Vegas Blvd, and Colorado Ave. The vibe and culture of this area is continuously growing and migrating into its surrounding areas.
This neighborhood was originally an area of construction and industrial commerce, blooming out of the old railroad tracks in the mid 1900’s. (You can see the train tracks just one block away!) As time passed, it became rundown and abandoned.
Nowadays, the Arts District is a popular local neighborhood with an eclectic mix of thrift shops, art, antiques, dive and craft cocktail bars, local breweries, and a trendy restaurant scene!
